I have seen a few of these in the past month.

I strongly suggest considering downloading Malwarebytes, at least the free version.

My sister and her four kids home caught fire on Saturday. No one was home. Significant damage to several rooms, to include water and smoke damage. Most of their stuff is gone.

Here is a link to the story.

http://www.military.com/news/article/navy-lets-sailors-take-break-from-service.html?ESRC=navy-a.nl

I just read this article and had to share. I am sure the "Old Salty Sailors" before my time must of thought my Naval Service time period was not as difficult as theirs, but come on lets get real people.  What every happened to the phrase "Steel Ships and Iron Men"? What about the Honor, Courage, and Commitment? Now it will be "Time Out, I need a break".

I certainly agree, that quality of life is a positive motivator for our service members and their families but this to me is just plain entertaining. You got to be kidding me.

O Lord our Governor, whose glory is in all the world: We commend this nation to thy merciful care, that, being guided by thy Providence, we may dwell secure in thy peace. Grant to Barack Obama, the President of the United States, wisdom and strength to know and to do thy will. Fill him with the love of truth and righteousness, and make him ever mindful of his calling to serve this people in thy fear; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holdy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen

I could not help today thinking about sin.

Norm, how does your security work equate to thinking about sin? Well, part of my job is to research vulnerabilities that may impact the health of our systems. Every day, I visit a several websites to see what new bad stuff, and old bad stuff, is out there. Now I evaluate the bad stuff and take a deep look into the systems to see how it might effect its health. After that I must recommend a way to fix or prevent that bad stuff from entering the system or infecting other parts or other systems. Sometimes it is too late, and the bad stuff corrupts the system, if left there the system is for sure going to die. Immediate actions or steps must be taken to remove the bad stuff, put up new protections, and restore the system back to health.

Perhaps if we as Christians look deep into our system (heart) each day and evaluate everything we think, do, say with an approach of how it will effect our heart with the Lord. We may be able to prevent sin from making our heart unhealthy and think of ways to put protections in place to ensure our hearts stay healthy.

Maybe, if we all approached life this way, our Country would not be in such mess.

I review articles prior to publication for a hacking magazine, no surprise, called Hackin9. The publisher emails articles out to several IT Security Professionals, Ethical Hackers, and other Computer Gurus. I review the articles for proper english, since it is an international magazine. I also, validate content and ensure it is appropriate for the intended audience. I provide our written reviews to the publisher.

I review completely as a volunteers, however, we get the articles first hand and other benefits. The link below will give you some additional information about the magazine. Ironically, I don't have a print subscription, yet.

I don't proudly admit that I use the social website Facebook. The main reason, I use it is to keep up whats happening with the kids.  Open social networks like, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. are breeding grounds for malware, identity theft, and other internet crimes.  However, social sites are here to stay, so how do we protect ourselfs. Don't enter too much personal information other than name, etc. You don't need to post your phone numbers because if they are your friends they will have it already, or email it them instead. Be smart remember that whatever you publish will be public at some point. So if you don't want your boss, Mom, Dad, or anyone else to know about...don't post it.

Other things to keep in mind. Keep your PC patched with the latest Windows Updates, Virus Signature, and beware of clicking on links that seem fishy.  Read the article below about the most recent attack distributed via Facebook.
